I just sent an email this early morning to NEA, cc SPF. This problem has not only affected me, but my children as well.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to report the above.
Despite repeated offences and fines (I'm told), here
they are again, and I have to be up in the morning at
1.40am typing this letter.
We all have to go to work in tomorrow morning. How can
this be allowed to go on? If there were a mob
fighting, or someone blaring their radio, the problem
would be redressed by the police immediately.
Yet they are unable to stop a commercial organisation
from repeatedly and INTENTIONALLY making noise in full
awareness of the noise and inconvenience that it's
causing to residents in this area. Where is the
justice? Or where can we find it, please direct us and
we will go there.
But why is there noone authorised to stop this
constuction company from repeatedly making noise in
the middle of the night? I have tried to ignore them
since they began at 11pm, since former complaints have
come to no avail, since NEA fomerly told me that you
were unable to take action because your sound machine
broke down, or the noise was not sustained for a long
enough period, or that it had already stopped by the
time you reached there. Is someone in your
organisation in cohorts with the construction company?
This is merely a question, not an accusation. What
other conclusion can we come to? Please help us to
understand.
Surely this cannot go on? How much must the residents
suffer? Where can we turn to? Please help.
Thank you for reading this letter. Sorry if I souund
incoherent. I was awakened and felt utterly compelled
to write this letter to your good selves.
Hoping for the better,
Concerned_Citizen
P.S. Even now, although the horrendous noise has
piped down, the engine from their monstrous
contruction vehicle is still not switched off. One
wonders if perhaps it's getting ready to start again
after the sound-recording team from NEA has found the
noise to be insufficiently disturbing. Why is it even
legal to continue to operate heavy machinery during
this unearthly hour?
